Nutreco

In the last couple of years, Nutreco’s fleet has expanded considerably, in part due to the company’s shift from mileage allowances to company cars. The move to lease cars offers Nutreco a large number of advantages. Pauline Mulder, Lease Coordinator at Nutreco: “Nutreco’s collaboration with Arval has enabled the company to lower the costs involved in fleet management. Arval’s pro-active driver influencing policy leads to improvements in drivers’ behaviour and as a result we see lower costs incurred as a result of fines and damages.”
In Nutreco’s view, all aspects of the operational process surrounding the lease vehicles should be handled as far as possible by the lease partners. Bart Kroon, Director Global Sourcing & Procurement: “We have contracted out a lot of activities to Arval – from guiding the selection and decision process to the actual ordering of the car. The only thing Nutreco has to do is sign the order form.” An important role in this process is played by customer focus vis-à-vis the drivers. Indeed, in Nutreco’s experience, Arval is customer-oriented and creative in coming up with solutions: “Arval is good at thinking along with the customer and offering valuable solutions.”
